Hey friends! A new month is upon us which means I have several birthday cards to send out again. Birthdays are a wonderful time to celebrate friends and family.
I made this card for a sweet guy who is turning 12 next week. I’m not quite sure how he’s going to be 12 already, but that happens, doesn’t it.
For this card, I cut some white cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼ inches. I used twisted citron distress oxide ink to swink on roughly 2/3 of the panel. I used salty ocean distress oxide ink for the other 1/3 of the panel.
Once the ink was dry, I ran it through a happy birthday embossing folder from my stash. This gave a lovely impression on the panel.
I glued the panel onto an A2 card base with Bearly Art glue.
All I needed to finish this card was a sentiment. I stamped BEST WISHES from the Sentimental Banners stamp set from Poppy Stamps using VersaFine Clair nocturne ink. I heat set it with clear embossing powder and then used the coordinating die to cut it out. I glued it about 2/3 of the way up on the right side.
I left the card blank inside as I want to write a special message to this special young man. Do you send out cards in the mail to friends and family? I think it’s wonderful to send happy mail and I hope my cards brighten someone’s day. We all need love and sunshine in our lives. Sending a card in the mail is simply one way to do that.
