Shine Just Like the Stars

Sometimes in life we tend to get so weighed down by the many things that come across our paths. Isn’t it encouraging when someone reminds you that in the midst of it all you’re still shining brightly? We don’t always notice the light emanating from us, but others definitely do. I think it’s so important to remind each other of the light that shines from within, which is the intention behind this card.

As usual, I created the card base from Recollections 110lb white cardstock and made it A2 size (4 ¼ x 5 ½ in). I cut another piece of that same cardstock into 4 x 5 ¼ inch. I then ran that piece through my Gemini Jr. with a star embossing folder. I adhered it to the card base using Craft double sided glue tape. 

The sentiment is a sticker from The Happy Planner Girl sticker pack called The Stargazer. The sticker is 1 ½ x 2 ½ inches and says ‘Shine just like the Stars’. I stuck the sticker to a piece of white cardstock that is 2 x 3 inches. I found a piece of dark blue cardstock that matches the sticker and cut it to 2 7/8 x 3 7/8 inches. I mounted the white cardstock with the sticker on it to the blue cardstock using Craft double sided glue tape. I then adhered the blue cardstock to the star paper using Craft double sided glue tape.

I left the card blank inside so the sender can add their own personal message of encouragement. Sometimes just a simple message sent in a card can boost someone’s entire day.
