We probably all know someone who is obsessed with house plants 😊 I should probably confess right now that I became one of those people last summer. I had a few house plants prior to last summer but I’m up to 80 house plants as of today. So, if you know someone who loves house plants, this may be the card for them!
To make the card base I used Recollections 110lb white dove cardstock and made an A2 card base (4 ¼ x 5 ½ inch). In my giant stash of scrapbook paper, I found a paper with house plants all over it. I cut a piece into 4 1/16 x 5 5/16 inches. Honestly, I just cut it to what looked good to me and measured it later. I glued that to my card base using Craft double sided glue tape.
Next, I stamped a plant pot onto orange cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and embossed it with Recollections clear embossing powder. I also used the Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp a snake plant onto green cardstock. I embossed it using the same Recollections clear embossing powder. I then fussy cut the two images out and adhered them to the bottom left corner of the card using some foam tape for some added dimension.
Finally, I used the Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp out the ‘You’ve been on my mind crazy plant lady’ sentiment on white cardstock. I cut the cardstock to just the size needed for the sentiment and rounded the corners using my Creative Memories corner rounder. I then adhered it onto the top right corner of the card using Craft double sided glue tape. I left the card blank inside for the sender to write their own message.
