Hey friends, I’m back with another ‘thinking of you’ card. As I mentioned before, I make and send a lot of them. I think it’s important to let people know you’re thinking of them. You may never fully know the impact it has on the receiver’s life. Perhaps they’re having a rough day and your ‘thinking of you’ card showing up in their mailbox turns their whole day around.
For this particular card I created the A2 card base (4 ¼ x 5 ½ inch) out of Recollections white dove 110lb cardstock.
For the card front, I rummaged through my stacks of scrapbook paper pads and found this gorgeous beige script sheet. It’s from the DCWV scripts and music notes premium stack. I tore it to make a torn rectangle approximately 3 ¾ x 5 inches. I then used Tim Holtz distress oxide ink in the ground espresso color to give the torn edges more of a vintage look.
Next, I used one of my dragonfly stamps and stamped it on the paper using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and then heat set it with Recollections clear embossing powder. I found a nice ‘thinking of you’ stamp and curved it a bit, stamping it on with the same VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and heat setting it with Recollections clear embossing powder.
I attached the card front onto the card base using Craft double sided glue tape. I really like how it turned out.
Finally, on the inside, I used a smaller dragonfly stamp and stamped it on the bottom right hand corner using Close to my Heart desert sand ink. It just gave it a nice little touch while still providing plenty of room for writing a personal note.
Whether you’re one to send cards or not, perhaps think of a way you can reach out to someone today to let them know you’re thinking of them.
