Strips of Paper Daisies

Hey friends, I’m back with another kind of card. This one is an ‘especially for you’ card which is another type of card that can really be used for any occasion.

For this card I used white dove Recollections 110lb cardstock and created an A2 card (4 ¼ x 5 ½ inch).

To do something a little different this time, I decided to look through my container of leftover scrapbook paper strips. I have quite a collection of strips that were leftover from other projects. I decided to go with yellow and teal strips for this card. I chose three strips and cut them to the length of the card (5 ½ inches) and glued them randomly where I wanted them.

Next, I used my MISTI stamping tool to position my card and my stamp in. This tool is amazing because it allows you to ink up the stamp and stamp in the same place as many times as you need to. So, for this card I stamped my large daisy bouquet stamp over the card and paper strips. I used VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink to stamp it.

While that was drying, I stamped an ‘especially for you’ sentiment on white cardstock using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and heat setting it with Recollections clear embossing powder. I cut it out in a rectangle measuring 9/16 x 2 ¾ inches. I ran a black marker around the sides of it to give a bit of an outline and popped it up towards the bottom of the card using double sided foam tape.

To finish the card off I added three dots to the right of the sentiment using blue Liquid Pearls. I left the inside blank to allow for lots of room to personalize a message.
