Holographic Happy Birthday

Hey friends! I’ve got one more holographic card for now, then I’ll move on to something else for a bit. I could get addicted to this holographic cardstock in embossing folders, especially this 3D embossing folder. It’s stunning! Pictures just don’t do it justice.

I made this A2 card from light blue Recollections 110lb cardstock from the Ocean pack. Even though it’s quite a pale blue, I still added a piece of 4 x 5 ¼ inch white cardstock to the inside so the personalized message will show up better. I adhered it using Craft double sided glue tape.

For the card front I cut some holographic foil cardstock to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches. I ran it through my Gemini Jr. using the Gemini Regency Swirls 3D embossing folder. Wow! This cardstock is stunning with a 3D embossing folder! I trimmed it to 3 ¾ x 5 inches and adhered it to the card base giving it a nice, light blue border.

For the sentiment, I chose to die cut happy birthday from the Honey Bee Stamps Bitty Buzzwords dies using white cardstock. I die cut the outline using the same light blue cardstock as the card base. I attached the two using Bearly Art glue and also used that to adhere it to the center of the card.

There is so much detail in this 3D embossing folder that absolutely nothing else is needed besides the happy birthday sentiment. When this card is sitting on the mantle it catches your eye when you walk by. The light causes different colors of the rainbow to shimmer, catching the eye as you pass by.
