Friend, You are a Gift

Hey friends! Friendship is definitely something to value in this life. It’s important to have good friends and it’s important to be a good friend.

For this card I created the A2 card base (4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches) from Recollections 110lb white cardstock. For the card front, I used the same cardstock cut to 3 7/8 x 5 1/8 inches. I have a random stamp set in my collection that has two sweet girls with flowers. I stamped both of them using VersaFine Clair nocturne ink and heat set them with Recollections clear embossing powder.

For the sentiment, I chose to use a couple of stamps from the Simon Says Stamps Friendly Flowers set. I stamped ‘friend you are a gift’ using the same nocturne ink and embossing powder. It suits the little girl stamps really well.

All this card was lacking was a black mat around the card front. I cut some black cardstock to 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches and adhered it to the card base using Craft double sided glue tape. I used the same tape to adhere the card front to the black mat.

I left the inside blank so there’s lots of room to write a personalized message. I think you can never have too much room to write to a good friend.
