Sparkly Trees

Christmas trees are such a mesmerizing sight to behold. I love to see the twinkling lights in a dark room casting that beautiful glow on the ornaments carefully placed on the tree. I find it so relaxing to sit in the dark living room late at night just staring at the lit up tree. So today I have a card filled with trees. These trees aren’t decked out with lights and ornaments, but they do sparkle.

This was a very quick and easy card to create. The card itself is made from Recollections white 110lb cardstock in my go to size of 4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches. Using the same cardstock, I cut a 4 x 5 ¼ inch panel.

I looked through my stash of Christmas stamps and found two cute, little trees. With the size of the trees, I could stamp them in rows of 5 trees, alternating between the two stamps as I went. I stamped them in a green ink from Hampton Art and then heat set them with Recollections green opaque sparkle embossing powder. I did two rows on the top half of the card panel and two rows on the bottom half, leaving a bit of a space in the middle. In that space I stamped a small sentiment that simply says Silent Night. I stamped it using VersaFine Clair nocturne ink and heat set it with Recollections clear embossing powder.

To finish the card, I simply adhered the card panel to the card base using Forever In Time glue tape. I left the inside of the card blank. I think it looks quite elegant with the sparkly green trees and the simple black sentiment.
