Butterflies

I think this is the third card in a row that I’ve masked off a section to add ink to. This time I added Tim Holtz tumbled glass distress oxide ink. While the mint tape was still on, I stamped butterflies from a Stampin’ Up set called Best of Butterflies. From top to bottom I used the following inks: mermaid lagoon distress oxide, VersaFine Clair monarch, Close to my Heart moonstruck, and wilted violet distress oxide.

I chose the sentiment ‘for you my friend’ from the Happy Day stamp set by Sweet ‘n Sassy Stamps. I stamped it using VersaFine Clair nocturne ink. I used the same ink to stamp ‘Happy Birthday’ on the inside of the card.

This turned out to be a really pretty card with all the butterflies. I’m sure it will be well received on a friend’s birthday.
