When I think of the holidays I think of family. I love to spend time with my family – visiting, laughing, playing games, eating. Just being with the ones I love is the best present I could ever have. Today’s card was made with that in mind.
I had previously cut a circle from a white panel to use on another card. I used that leftover panel for this card. I lined it up on a card base and gently traced around the circle with a pencil. Inside the circle, I stamped this cute holiday house as well as the sentiment in black ink. The stamps are from a Simple Stories stamp set called The Holiday Life. I used my Lyra Rembrandt polycolor pencils to color the image.
Next, I embossed the panel using the Frosted Trees 3D embossing folder by Open Studio. This embossing folder has so much dimension.
Finally, I glued the panel to the card base using art glitter glue. I didn’t feel like anything else was needed.
This card was quick and easy to make but it evokes such warmth and brings to mind so many cherished memories of Christmases when our kids were growing up. As we approach another Christmas season, remember to cherish every moment – past, present, and future.
