Two Simple Birthday Cards

These two cards were so quick and easy to make. Sometimes quick and easy is what is needed. I enjoy making a variety of cards.

I started these two cards by taking a piece of holographic foil cardstock and cutting it to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches. I ran it through my embossing machine with the Spellbinders Stargazer embossing folder. I cut the panel in half on an angle so I could use it on both cards.

For the first card, I added tumbled glass distress oxide ink on the top half of an A2 card panel, then glued the star embossed half to the bottom.

I used the same holographic cardstock to die cut a happy birthday sentiment by Uniquely Creative as well as a few stars from the Lawn Fawn Sequin Mix die set and glued them in the top half of the card.

For the second card, I glued the star embossed cardstock to the bottom of an A2 card.

Using the Simon Hurley Birthday Basics stamp set, I stamped a large birthday cake onto light pink cardstock. I colored the cake with copic markers and gelly roll pens.

After fussy cutting the cake, I glued it onto the card and then stamped ‘Happy Birthday’ above it using the same stamp set.

As you can see, these cards were very easy to make and now I have two more birthday cards in my stash.
