Hey friends! It’s a beautiful sunny afternoon here and I was inspired to make a couple of floral cards. We had a bit of rain this morning which refreshed all the flowers in my yard.
To start with, I used my misti to position this gorgeous flower stamp from the Instant Artist Lamination set by Stamps By Me. I love this set because there is a silhouette stamp for the flower and also a detailed stamp of the flower. I positioned the silhouette flower on my misti and stamped two separate pieces of cardstock. One was white and one was white shimmer. I inked the flowers up with purple ink and stamped both pieces of cardstock.
Next, I positioned the detailed flower stamp on my misti and stamped a darker purple over the flower on white cardstock. I heat set it with a purple sparkly embossing powder. On the white shimmer cardstock, I inked the detailed stamp with embossing ink and heat set it with the same purple sparkly embossing powder. So pretty!
I used the nested rectangle dies from Hero Arts to cut out both of the flowers. I used a few sizes larger to cut out another rectangle from the white and from the white shimmer to use as mat layers. I swiped the purple ink pad direct to the edges of the mat layers to create purple mats.

For the white card, I glued the purple mat layer to a white A2 card base, then glued the flower layer on. I stamped ‘Happy Birthday’ in the bottom right corner using a stamp from the Inside Sentiments Birthdays stamp set by Waffle Flower. I used the same set to stamp a greeting inside.

For the white shimmer card, I cut an A2 card panel from white shimmer cardstock and glued it to a white A2 card base. I glued the purple panel on and then the flower panel. I stamped ‘Bloom as you are’ from the Self-Care Sentiments stamp set by Alex Syberia designs in the bottom right corner. I left this card blank inside.

To finish off the cards, I used some nail art gems and added a few to each card. I think they just give it that something extra.
These cards were super easy to make and really could be made with a variety of sentiments. I hope you’re finding inspiration around you that makes you want to get into your craft room and create something beautiful. Enjoy!
