Hey friends! Today’s card is very fast and simple. I’ve had a busy week, spending three days in the hospital with a friend who was induced and finally gave birth to a beautiful baby girl! I’m home again and back in my craft room.
I decided to make a very clean and simple birthday card today. I have a stash of previously die cut sentiments on my desk, so I looked through them and decided on a blue happy birthday. I found the same blue cardstock and cut a mat layer that is 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 inches.
I cut a piece of white cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼ inches. I ran it through an embossing folder that came in the French Chic stamp set by Crafter’s Companion.
I glued the blue mat layer to an A2 card base, glued the white layer on the blue layer, then glued the happy birthday die onto the white embossed layer. Like I said, very fast and simple, but a beautiful result.
Sometimes life gets busy, and we still need to make a card. It’s good to remember that even quick cards can be elegant.
