Hey friends! I had a lot of fun playing along with challenge #360 by Inkspirational Challenges. This was my first time creating for this challenge and it was a lot of fun. The prompt for this challenge was XOXO. You can play along here: Inkspirational: Inkspirational Challenge #360 – Word Prompt – XOXO (Hugs and Kisses)
I chose to film my process and ended up making two cards. You’re welcome to check out my video here: https://youtu.be/c2iduPEcUK0
The card I started creating, and the one I’m entering in the challenge, is an anniversary card. I started with some Echoes of Time Irresistible Rub-On Transfers by 49 and Market. I cut out some large roses and rubbed them onto my A2 card.

I chose two different pink inks to ink blend over the entire card front. I then rubbed a paper towel over the irresistible rub ons to get the ink off.
There was so much ink left on my glass mat that I took a watercolour panel that I had previously sprayed distress stain and mica spray on and smooshed it into all the leftover ink.
Back to the first card, I chose an old Close to my Heart scripty xo stamp from my stash and stamped it in the darker ink in several places around the white flowers. I also used the same ink to stamp ‘Happy Anniversary’ on the inside of the card. I watered down some ink and splattered a bit of pink inside the card as well.

On the second panel, I stamped a different Close to my Heart xo stamp in random spots with the darker ink. I also inked up some scrap cardstock with the lighter ink and die cut a heart from it. I stamped a sentiment on the heart with the darker ink. I also decided to distress the edges of this panel with my scissors to give it a more rustic look. I inked up the edges with the darker ink.

To finish off the first card, I took a wooden heart from my stash that I had previously embossed with metallic embossing powder, and I glued it onto the card. I also glued a few water droplet gems around the flowers.
To finish the second card, I cut a piece of cheesecloth and pressed it into the darker ink to dye it. I glued it onto the panel and popped the heart on top of it with some foam tape. I glued the panel to a card base and then added a few water droplet gems.
It was fun playing along with this challenge and I look forward to the next one!
