Hey everyone, today’s card is a simple birthday card that took almost no time at all to make. Birthday cards are something I definitely need to start making more of because people are always having birthdays 😊
I started with an A2 card base made from Recollections white 110lb cardstock paper. I used the same paper for the card front which I cut to 5 ¼ x 4 inches. After stamping on the card base, I ended up trimming it down to 5 3/16 x 3 15/16 inches as I wanted to outline it with black paper.
I used the stamp set Dandelion Wishes from Close to my Heart. I stamped the ‘birthday wishes’ sentiment in VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink and heat embossed using Recollections clear embossing powder. I stamped the dandelion with a few of the dandelion wishes blowing in the wind using the same ink, but I embossed it using WOW metallic gold rich super fine embossing powder.
Next, I cut a piece of Recollections black 65lb cardstock paper to 5 ¼ x 4 inches to use as a layer between my card base and card front. I attached it to the card base using Craft double sided glue tape. I then attached the card front to the black paper using the same glue tape.
On the inside of the card, I added a tiny little ‘make a wish…’ sentiment to finish it off. And this card is done. See you next time!
