Happy Birthday Purple Flower Outline

Hey all, I’m back with another birthday card. I don’t think you can ever have too many birthday cards in your stash of cards.

This A2 (4 ¼ x 5 ½ inch) card was made with purple Recollections 110lb cardstock from the Very Violet pack. For the card front and the inside panel I used Recollections 110lb white cardstock and I cut them both to 4 x 5 ¼ inches.

For the card front, I chose a circle stencil from my stash that has all different sizes of circles on it. I placed it over my card front and using a Ranger domed foam blender and Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Hickory Smoke ink, I lightly inked up a portion of the cardstock fading out on the sides.

Next, I chose a happy birthday sentiment from one of my stamp sets. I have no idea what brand it is or what the name of the set is. I stamped it in the bottom right corner using VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink.

I adhered both the card front and the inside panel to the card using Forever In Time glue tape runner. I left the inside panel blank for a personalized message.

For the final step, I used the same purple cardstock and the Simon Says Stamp Rose Flower Frame die cut and ran it through my Gemini Jr. Instead of using the whole frame, I simply cut out the flower. I glued that over the grey circles on the card front using Bearly Art precision craft glue.

It’s a pretty simple card that turned out to be quite cute. I like how the pale grey circles just seem to add that little touch that makes the flower stand out nicely.
