Pink and Grey Birthday

Hey friends, I’m back with another birthday card. I purchased a new stencil recently and I thought I’d try it out on a birthday card. I love how it turned out!

So, for this birthday card I made an A2 (4 ¼ x 5 ½ inch) card out of 110lb Recollections grey cardstock from the Coffee and Cream pack. I used that same grey cardstock to die cut a happy birthday sentiment using my Gemini Jr.

For the card front, I cut some white 110lb Recollections cardstock to 4 x 5 ¼ inch. I did the same for the inside panel. I also used this cardstock to die cut the background shadow of the happy birthday sentiment using my Gemini Jr.

For the card front, I used my new stencil called Distressed Mesh from Paper Rose. It’s a 6 x 6 inch stencil so I chose which part I wanted to use for my card front. When I laid it in place, I used some mint tape to hold everything in place. I used a foam finger dauber to apply Catherine Pooler pebble ink over the stencil. I absolutely love how it turned out.

I adhered the card front to the card using Bearly Art precision glue. I also attached the inside panel the same way.

For the front, I looked through my stash of ephemera and decided to go with these beautiful pink flowers from the Forever In Time Rose die cut pad. I adhered them to the bottom left corner of the card front using my Bearly Art glue.

To finish this card, I adhered the grey happy birthday sentiment to the white shadow using Bearly Art glue, then adhered the whole thing to the card front the same way. I decided to find some ephemera for the inside of the card. I chose a small cluster of flowers and a tiny butterfly, both from the same pack as the flowers on the front. I glued the small flowers in the bottom left corner and the tiny butterfly in the top right corner.  I really like how it turned out.
