Butterfly Hugs

Hey friends! As I stated in the previous blog post, I made another card using holographic foil cardstock. I just love the rainbow shimmer when the light hits it. So pretty!

For the card base of this card, I used a medium blue Recollections 110lb cardstock from the Ocean pack. I also cut a piece of white cardstock to put inside the card, so the personalized message is on white rather than blue. This piece measures 4 x 5 ¼ inches.

For the card front, I used holographic foil cardstock cut to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches. I ran this through my Gemini Jr. using an embossing folder that has a butterfly and flowers. I trimmed it to 4 x 5 ¼ inches in order to have a nice blue outline around the card front. I adhered this to the card base using Craft double sided glue tape.

I used the Honey Bee Stamps Bitty Buzzwords dies to die cut the word hugs from the same blue cardstock as the card base. I die cut the outline using vellum. I attached the word to the outline using Bearly Art glue and adhered that to the card front using the same glue.

Nothing more is needed for this card as the holographic picture steals the show.
