Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you’re all getting ready to relax and enjoy time with your loved ones.
Today’s card features a few different red Christmas scrapbook papers. I cut strips of various sizes and made a simple fishtail cut on the ends of each.
For the card base, I made my usual A2 card from Recollections white 110lb cardstock. I usually design my cards in portrait rather than landscape; however, I decided this one would look better in landscape.
I used Bearly Art glue to adhere the strips of red paper onto the card, making sure the fishtails were at the bottom.
For the sentiment, I chose a beautiful Merry Christmas script stamp that I got at Michael’s last year. I stamped it on white cardstock using VersaFine Clair nocturne ink. I used my paper trimmer to cut it into a rectangle shape and I made a fishtail cut at the end of the sentiment. I adhered this to a piece of red cardstock and cut around it to create the same shape, giving the sentiment a nice, red border. I popped this up on foam tape over the red strips.
To add a little extra something, I glued three black gems onto the bottom right of the sentiment strip.
I hope you have a very Merry Christmas this year and that you are able to reflect on all the wonderful times throughout this year.
