Silver and Blue Christmas

I’m so excited that it’s getting so close to Christmas! I love the whole Christmas season.

Today’s card is a two for one. I will share with you how I created these two beautiful cards using sparkly and shiny paper.

I created the A2 card bases from Recollections white 110lb cardstock. I then looked through my scrapbook paper and found two pretty papers to use. One is silver glitter cardstock and the other is a light blue cardstock with shiny silver marbled into it. I thought the two looked really nice together.

I cut each scrapbook paper to 5 x 3 ¾ inches. With the paper in portrait position, I cut the scrapbook paper at 1 ½ inches. Turning each piece to the landscape position, I made a cut at 2 inches.

Next, I placed the paper pieces onto the two card bases, alternating the papers so the top right and bottom left are the same paper, making the bottom right and top left the same paper. (I hope that made sense.) I adhered all the pieces to the bases with glue tape runner.

For the sentiments, I die cut two stitched circles from white cardstock. Using VersaFine Clair ink and Recollections clear embossing powder, I stamped and embossed O Holy Night on one and Peace on Earth on the other. I popped them both up on Scotch foam tape and adhered them over the intersections of the scrapbook paper.

These cards look so pretty as they sparkle in the light. Sparkles and Christmas go well together! I hope your Christmas season sparkles with love, joy, and peace.
