O Christmas Tree

Oh, how I love sitting in my living room with only the Christmas tree lights on. The little colorful lights and the fresh tree smell evoke such wonderful childhood memories. My parents always made Christmas so special for us no matter how tight or abundant things were each year. When I reflect on the Christmases of my childhood, it’s not the presents I remember, but rather the warmth and laughter of family, the delicious treats my mom made special for the holidays, and the trek out to the bush with my dad and sister to find the perfect tree. Then there was the fun of decorating it. I was always mesmerized by the glow of the tree lights at night when all the lights were off. While this card doesn’t feature any lights, it is all about the tree.

I found this beautiful O Christmas Tree sheet music scrapbook paper. I cut a piece to 4 ¼ x 5 ½ inches and adhered it to the A2 card base I’d made from Recollections 110lb white cardstock. I used Craft double sided glue tape runner to stick them together.

For the trees, I chose black glitter cardstock to die cut the three tree dies I have. The black just fit well with the scrapbook paper. I used Bearly Art glue to stick two trees down. The third tree I popped up using Scotch foam tape.

I hope you take some time this season to remember the warmth of Christmases past and that you are intentional to create wonderful memories this Christmas season.
