Season’s Greetings

It’s almost Christmas! Like the last card blog I wrote, this one also features the Christmas tree. This time the tree is decorated with colorful ornaments that glisten in the light!

The A2 card base is made from Recollections white 110lb cardstock. I also cut a panel in white that is 4 x 5 ¼ inches. I die cut a white circle using a stitched circle die and I cut a circle the next size up out of gold glitter cardstock.

On the white circle I stamped a beautiful Christmas tree centered in the bottom of the circle. Above the tree I stamped season’s greetings. All the stamping was done with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink and heat set with Recollections clear embossing powder. I used a green copic marker to color the tree. For the star I used a yellow gelly roll pen.

I adhered the white circle onto the gold circle using Bearly Art glue. I wanted the circle to be slightly off center, so I used my paper trimmer to cut a small bit off the left side. I glued the circle onto the card panel, lining up the straight edge I’d cut off with the edge of the panel. I like how it turned out.

I found some tree washi tape that I added towards the bottom of the panel. I simply wrapped the ends around to the back of the panel then adhered the panel to the card base using Craft double sided glue tape.

The final touch on the card was to add the colorful ornaments. I used some diamond art gems I picked up at the local dollar store. They shine when the light hits them. I used Bearly Art glue to place them on the tree. It almost made me feel like I got to decorate another tree this year!
