Classic Birthday

Here’s a great birthday card for the book lover in your life. Bonus points if they love classics!

I used a couple of strips of mint tape to mask off a portion of the card. In that portion I used a domed foam blender to add Tim Holtz weathered wood distress oxide ink. With the mint tape still in place, I used a book stamp set with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink to stamp books all over the inked section. 

I didn’t have stamps that said what I wanted to say so I wrote the sentiment myself. I used a black Tombow Fudenosuke pen to write “Happy Birthday to a real CLASSIC” in the white space next to the stamped images.

Thankfully there’s no limit to what you can create. When you get an idea in your head, use what you have to make it come to life. This card is going out to a dear friend who loves to read.
