Hey everyone, it’s been a while since I’ve been on here, but for good reason. We had two weddings in our family this spring! Our daughter got married mid-February and our son got married mid-May. It was a busy, wonderful season of celebrations and our family has grown beautifully.
I’m finally busy making cards again and I thought I’d write about this adorable card first, since it’s celebration themed. This adorable stamp set came in a magazine called Creative Stamping. Included in the magazine is an embossing folder and 30 stamps by Stamps By Me. There is a beautiful variety of sentiments and images.
For this card, I simply stamped the image on a white panel and colored the image with copic markers. I’m a newbie when it comes to coloring with copic markers so while I don’t have the shading perfect, I think it still turned out quite nice. I am confident that as I practice, I’ll get better, but we all start somewhere, right?
After adhering the panel to a white card, I stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock. I used a stitched heart die to cut it out, popping it up with some foam tape, which completed the card.
