Bright Future

For today’s card, I dug through the stack of panels I’d previously made, and I found this pretty rainbow background. To create this panel, I used several different colors of Tim Holtz distress oxide inks and added them onto the Hero Arts Abstract Criss Cross stamp and stamped the panel. When the ink was dry, I ran the panel through my Gemini Jr. with the Spellbinders Stargazer embossing folder.

When I pulled this panel out to use, I immediately thought of a Close to my Heart stamp set I have in my stash. I don’t even know what it’s called as I got it second hand and there’s no label on it. It has several very positive sentiments including the one I chose for this card.

I stamped ‘Your future’s bright!’ onto a scrap piece of white cardstock using VersaFine Clair nocturne ink. I heat set it with clear embossing powder. I used one of the dies from the Spellbinders Postage Edge Circles set to cut out the sentiment. I cut out two of the smaller circles from that set and glued them together. I glued those to the back of the sentiment to give it some dimension and glued it to the center of the rainbow circle.

This was a simple card to make that has a simple, yet much needed encouraging word. This card could be used for graduation or for anyone venturing into something new. We all need to be reminded that we have a bright future. Life is what we make it.
