Best Wishes

The colors on this card make me think of a cold, wintery day. I do love the look of snow in the winter and I always love a white Christmas although we don’t always get that where I live.

I made this card as a part of the design team for my local scrapbook store, Aall Scrapbook Essentials. They have an amazing selection of products as well as very warm and friendly staff. Feel free to check them out here Aall Scrapbook Essentials – Home or stop in if you’re in the Kamloops, BC, area.

This card features the Altenew Flower Motif stamp set. I stamped the image in the center of a white panel, then stamped it again onto a piece of Gina K masking magic. I cut the mask out and placed it over the stamped image. I then stamped the image again on the right and left, overlapping the bottom of the center image. I removed the masking magic and colored the images with copic markers and a silver glitter pen.

I cut the panel down to 4 x 5 ¼ inches, then chose some silver and blue washi tapes to use. I adhered the washi tapes onto the top and bottom of the panel, allowing the washi tape to stick around to the back side of the panel. Next, I adhered the panel to the A2 card base.

I stamped ‘best wishes’ from the Sentimental Banners stamp set by Poppy Stamps and used the coordinating die to cut it out. I adhered the sentiment to the center of the blue washi on the bottom.

I left the inside blank, as this card could be used for several occasions. My thought when I made it was that it could make a nice winter birthday card. It really doesn’t have to be limited to winter, the colors just remind me of winter.
