Rockstar Birthday

Hey friends! I’m still working on birthday cards over here. Do you think I’ll ever get caught up on all the birthday cards I need to make? Haha, I’m not sure I will but at least I do enjoy making them!

This card was easy to put together because I already had this rockstar stamped, colored, and cut out. Isn’t he adorable?! He’s from Kindred Stamps from the Rock On stamp set.

As a background for this adorable rockstar, I chose some music themed scrapbook paper and cut it to 4 x 5 ¼ inches and adhered it to an A2 card base with scor tape.

I used the Inside Sentiments Birthdays stamp set by Waffle Flower to stamp a happy birthday onto some scrap white cardstock. I stamped it with my trusty VersaFine Clair nocturne ink and heat set it with clear embossing powder. I trimmed it down to size and glued it towards the bottom of the card, kind of like a stage, then glued the rockstar standing on the stage.

Using the same Rock On stamp set from Kindred Stamps, I stamped ‘party like a rockstar’ on the inside of the card.

I love how this brightly colored rockstar stands out against the black music themed paper. If you’ve been a crafter for a long time, you probably have hoards of scrapbook paper. Put it to work as the background for some of your cards. Some scrapbook paper can make gorgeous cards! Plus, if you’re in a hurry, it is faster to use that as a background than to create your own. Happy crafting!
