As I sit in my craft room today, I notice the changing of the season. My desk is right in front of a window looking out at the Cinnamon Ridge hoodoos. The cinnamon colored mountain against the clear blue sky is beautiful. My front lawn is still green with the odd yellow wildflower here and there. The tree to the right of my window is turning from a lush green to a mixture of beautiful yellows and reds. Fall is upon us and that makes me smile. Fall is my favorite season!
I so enjoy the changing of the season, and I know I will thoroughly enjoy the wonderful fall days. It is only September 17th today, but it never ceases to amaze me how fast the Christmas season approaches from this time on. I love Christmas and all the preparations leading up to the holiday. This definitely includes making Christmas cards!
Today I have created two Winnie the Pooh Christmas cards. Pooh Bear was a well loved character in my home as my children were growing up. These cards take me back to those days of endless energy, laughter, and snuggles while we watched this adorable bear and his friends.

For the first card, I stamped the Hundred Acre Woods stamp from Echo Park onto a piece of white cardstock. I stamped it with Wow embossing ink and heat set it with Wow gold embossing powder. I trimmed it down to the gold outlines of the image and glued it onto an A2 card base.
Next, I die cut a circle from the stitched circles nesting die set from Prism Studio. On the circle, I stamped the Christmas image from the Grand Christmas stamp set by Echo Park. I stamped it with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink and heat set it with clear embossing powder.
For the sentiment, I chose the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Sunday Drive All-Occasion Sentiments stamp set by Spellbinders, stamping it with Wow embossing ink and heat setting it with Wow gold embossing powder. I used an embossing pen to color the ornaments on the tree and then heat set them with Wow gold embossing powder.
I die cut another circle the same size and glued it to the back of the first circle to give it a bit more dimension. Then I glued it to the center of the card. I love how this simple black, white, and gold card turned out.

For the second card, I used the same circle die and the same nocturne ink to stamp the same image on the circle, heat setting it with clear embossing powder. For this card, I used Ohuhu markers to color Pooh, Piglet, Tigger, and the ornaments.
Next, I took a white card panel cut to 4 x 5 ¼ inches and stamped ‘A wonderful & grand Christmas’ from the Grand Christmas stamp set by Echo Park. I stamped it in VersaFine Clair nocturne ink and heat set it with clear embossing powder.
I then took some tumbled glass distress oxide ink and smooshed some on my glass mat, adding a bit of water to it. I ink smooshed the panel into the pale blue ink.
When the panel was dry, I ran it through the Frosted Trees embossing folder by Memory Box. This is such a gorgeous winter embossing folder.
To assemble the card, I glued the panel onto an A2 card base and then glued the circle onto the embossed panel. Another sweet card.
As you go about your day, remember to enjoy every moment. Life is constantly happening all around us. Take time to relax and enjoy it.
