Thanks

A simple thanks can speak volumes. Whether you received a small act of kindness or a grand gesture, remember to say thank you. You never know what that small phrase can mean to someone.

I created this card by cutting a leftover piece of scrapbook paper to nicely fit towards the left side of an A2 card base. I just eyeballed it, but measuring it now as I write this, it is 5 inches by 2 5/8 inches. I glued it onto the card base.

Next, I used the stitched circles nesting dies by Prism Studios to cut out one of the circles from white cardstock. This circle is 2 ¾ inches in diameter. I ran the circle through an old Cuttlebug embossing folder from my stash. I dipped the outer edge of the circle in WOW embossing ink and added WOW metallic silver embossing powder and heat set it. This gives a nice silver border around the decorative circle.

I wanted the circle to have a bit of dimension, so I cut two smaller circles from leftover cardstock and glued them together. I then glued them to the back of the main circle and glued it onto the card.

For the sentiment, I used the thanks die from the Bitty Buzzwords die set by Honey Bee Stamps and cut the word from white cardstock and the shadow from black cardstock. I pressed the thanks die into the embossing ink, covered it with the same silver embossing powder and heat set it. I glued the word onto the shadow die and glued the sentiment to the center of the circle.

To embellish, I added a few water droplet gems – two towards the top left and three towards the bottom right.

I hope this card reminds someone how important they are and that their kindness is not simply taken for granted.
