Multiple Occasion Cards

Hey friends, today I’m sharing four cards I created with similar layouts. You can use this layout to make cards for any occasion. Today I’m sharing two Christmas cards, a birthday card, and a hello friend card.

I used purple cardstock for the base of all four cards simply because I was in the mood to make purple cards. They can be done with any colors. I did add a white cardstock panel inside each card so the writing will show up nicely.

I used the rectangle nesting dies from Hero Arts to cut out four panels from white shimmer cardstock and four smaller panels from white cardstock. The white shimmer panels are 3 ½ x 4 ¾ inches and the white panels are 2 ¾ x 4 inches.

I ran each of the white shimmer panels through different embossing folders to give them more detail and dimension.

The white panels are my focal points and I have stamped all four panels with different images and sentiments. I stamped them all with wilted violet distress oxide ink and heat set them with purple sparkle embossing powder. I ran the edges of all the white panels through the ink pad as well to give them some definition.

To assemble the cards, I glued the embossed shimmer panels to the purple card bases. I then took some scrap cardstock and cut pieces slightly smaller than the white panels, glued them to the backs of the white panels, and glued them to the centers of the shimmer panels. This just popped them up slightly without having to use foam tape.

As I said, these were so simple to make and can be made in any color and for any occasion. I hope this gives you some inspiration to use what you have in your stash. Have fun!
