Thinking of You

Hey friends! I find it interesting that people often send ‘thinking of you’ cards to someone who is going through a difficult time. I tend to make and send a lot of ‘thinking of you’ cards, not because my friends are going through something harsh, but simply because I’m consciously thinking of them and want them to know that. Of course, it’s important to be there for people when challenges arise, but it’s just as important to be there for them when all is well. Relationships are so vital, and they truly deserve time and energy.

I created this card to send to a friend I’ve been thinking about lately. I simply took a piece of cardstock I had previously die cut a circle from, placed it so the circle was slightly off the edge, and ink blended pink ink through it. I then stamped a floral image over the circle using VersaFine Clair nocturne ink. I stamped ‘thinking of you’ onto white cardstock with the Sentimental Banners stamp set from Poppy Stamps and die cut it with the coordinating banner die. I glued the sentiment in place and added a few water droplet gems.

This card fits well for the current clean and simple challenge found here:  Addicted to CAS: Addicted to CAS #301 – Pink

A card is such a simple gesture of love but it’s often the simple gestures that are the most profound. Whether you’re a card maker or not, I encourage you to put action to your thoughts when someone comes across your mind. Maybe send them a card or bake them some cookies. Maybe take them to a movie or offer to clean their yard. It doesn’t matter what the act is, just be yourself and let someone know you’re truly thinking of them.
