Graduation Approaches

Hey friends! Can you believe we’re only a few months away from graduation? I decided to make a graduation card and I used a sketch from CAS Colours & Sketches: Challenge # 579 – Sketch Challenge to help create this card.

This sketch has something in the top right corner and the bottom left corner with the sentiment near the bottom image.

I chose to make a graduation card using the Graduation Sentiments stamp set by Waffle Flower and the Stacked Stars Die by Uniquely Creative. I had several stars already cut from black, silver, and gold cardstock.

I started by stamping the sentiment with VersaFine Clair nocturne ink, then arranged the stars in the two corners. Before adhering the stars, I splattered a bit of Winsor & Newton gold ink in the two corners. I then adhered the stars with Bearly Art glue.

I stamped a sentiment inside the card and added a few stars.

This was a fun card to create, and it won’t be long before I can use it. It was fun to play along with this challenge and I look forward to seeing everyone else’s creations.

I love the combination of foil and glimmer paper for texture and sparkle and your outline stars are a great way to add interest and detail whilst still keeping your card beautifully CAS. Great to get ahead with those grad cards too! Thanks for sharing with us over at CAS Colours & Sketches this week!
